Almost everyone was homophobic in the 1940s. It’s anticommunist propaganda to call out Stalin for being homophobic when every American politician held those views back then, and many still do today. Stalin is called “evil” for that but American war criminals and slave owners are celebrated.

the black panthers were marxist leninists. their issues with white groups had to do with chauvinism and racism. but they upheld, visited, and supported vietnam, north korea, and china.
TBF, a few of the key anarchist organisers in New Orleans after Katrina were former Panthers (Common Ground Collective who maybe still exist?) and the Panthers had... Fraught relations with the white ML groups. Kinda sus of any tradition other than Black Liberation claiming them tbh.
