Many Americans died fighting Japan because we just kind of threw marines at tiny islands. However then America went on to not punish any of the monsters in power in japan. They didn’t even pretend like they did in Germany.

Exactly, and it wouldn't even matter if the US did this because they supposedly cared about genuinely fighting fascism, because so many other times throughout history the US has propped up fascism across the globe so the alleged anti-fascism of US involvement in WWII is a moot point anyways
