Heads up for folx playing Arc Raiders: Embark has openly stated (in an interview with GamesRadar+), that the game uses the same AI voice tech as The Finals, and the CEO has talked about using AI to generate 3D models from YouTube rips.

Not to be the fun police but I do hope people know that Arc Raiders does use generative AI for voice acting, and by supporting the game you're letting higher-ups know that this is an okay practice.

I switched to Linux, specifically Ubuntu Studio, to avoid this and I have not regretted it. Even with the awkwardness and learning curve.

A few years ago The Lancet picked up an estimate from Bloomberg that ~90% of the HK population tasted tear gas during the 2019 pro-democracy protests. The article was filed under oncology because no one knows what happens when a city gets persistently tear gassed over a long stretch of time.
The deployment of tear gas throughout the Chicago area is a growing health concern. ICE is deploying tear gas in residential neighborhoods, near children, playgrounds, stores, etc. What are the health implications on our communities?
