I'm only now learning more about the Horses situation and, while it is in a lot of ways dissimilar to the earlier game censorship situation, it is particularly telling how a lot of censorship overall is based on people with curatorial power being too squeamish about non-titillating content.

I've been mulling this over, and more and more I feel like the conflict at the center of many divides is really between the aesthetic and the material.
It's why people view "the left" as a movement that attacks itself: prioritizing aesthetics is largely incompatible with prioritizing the material.

IMO the main problem with NIMBYism is simply that "this conflicts with my sense of aesthetics" just isn't ever a valid argument when weighed against the material needs of human beings, regardless of how closely those aesthetics hew to a societal good.

Haven't run it yet, but this is very much my read of the game so far. If you've wanted an excuse to move your campaign away from the dragon game, I actually can't think of a better upgrade than Draw Steel for most groups.
Thread about how adaptable Draw Steel is to other fantasy settings. Doesn't seem like anyone's having any issues running it in all kinds of established and homebrew settings.
