TYHOID?
McDonald's Shrimp Salad (1985-1986): A garden salad topped hardboiled eggs and mini shrimp cocktail. This offering made national headlines when improperly stored shrimp led to a typhoid outbreak in Maryland. This salad has popped back up in some European markets in recent years

If you’re a journalist who’s still on Twitter, from now on in your writing you have to replace “the American people want” with “troll bots in Eastern Europe demand”

Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.

People who've been in journalism for a while should be able to recall a time when the news side of Fox News was basically sound, it was just a few primetime opinion personalities who'd left journalism behind. Let's not pretend we don't know where a reorganization like A. G. and Khan's leads.
The direction A. G. is taking NYT is that of a tabloid crusading for its pet causes. I agree those types of stories haven't passed 50%, but the trend is towards burning their legitimacy to try and influence the NYC mayoral race or sentiment on Israel/Palestine. No point in supporting that slide.

Larry Summers needs to resign or be pushed out of Harvard. This is absolutely unacceptable.
The emails have Summers reporting to Epstein about his attempts to date a Harvard economics student & to hit on her during a seminar she was giving.

I discovered this while a Subaru was parked behind me, and I saw it in my rearview mirror. It was a revelation.
Fun fact: Subaru spelled backwards is U R A BUS.

these two characters are played by the same actress, and I like to imagine that when they were casting The Ring, their immediate first thought was “someone find out what the little girl from Lilo and Stitch is up to”

For @msnbc.com I wrote about how Tuesday's election gives Democrats the blueprint for overcoming Republican anti-trans attacks and how thus should settle all the talk about throwing trans people under the bus.

Opinion | Democrats’ election wins showed they don't need to hide their support for trans rights
Republicans repeated Trump's anti-trans strategy from 2024 and lost big. This should be instructive for Democrats.

I listened to two Christmas songs today, on purpose. "Do they know it's Christmas" and 'Last Christmas". I think I'm done for the season.
Also: I listened to the Richard Cheese versions.

today’s information came out piecemeal, and people should be able to share their own situations on their own time, but I could share this much ^ as it is pretty cut and dry on the facts.

Teen Vogue also no longer has any trans staffers as of today.

Devastating. Teen Vogue's politics coverage has been incredible and this is a major loss for journalism.

Legacy journalism keeps on getting rid of the only people making it worth anything anymore.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

I have watched as so-called "compromise" positions on transgender people's rights have failed over and over--in statehouses, the Biden White House, and in liberal rhetoric. There is no middle ground acceptable to the politicians, activists, and billionaires obsessed with trans people and our lives.
