TikTok’s transition to Trumpist ownership is apparently a mess. The TikTok subreddit is full of posts complaining about nothing working and people deleting their accounts.

Feels like given DHS making up stories about what we can plainly see in the murder videos, we have to just presume every other death under their purview is also murder.

Also let's be real here, any Democrat who cannot be bothered to get a full throated disband ICE, put those motherfuckers on trial, and hold the whole goddamn government accountable are culpable.
If you're not the person for the moment step down but don't stand in the fucking way.

When I lecture to students about how the apparently thriving economy of the 1920s was really a house of cards just waiting to be knocked down, one of the points I stress is how much a small number of the very rich were essentially propping up consumer spending in unsustainable ways
The top 10% now account for nearly half of all consumer spending.

The "ICE is using military tactics suited for a warzone, not for American streets" rhetoric kinda misses the point that warzones are not naturally occuring. The US military creates war zones from residential neighborhoods and the tactics are not more justifiable just because it's overseas

One thing that would definitely work to increase the birth rate is decreasing the length of pregnancy. 9 women could work together in a team to produce a baby in one month

Y'all need to read the Mythical Mom Month. Think about the collaboration overhead!
I genuinely forgot that government can do good things expediently, not just evil shit. like what do you mean you did something good w/o a multi-year public comment period and 1,000 consultants watering it down into nothing. we can just do good stuff? we could have been doing that this whole time??
Zohran just went out and fixed the Williamsburg Bridge bike entrance. Just did it. No faffing, no nonsense. Bam. Fixed.

The UN Headquarters should have been moved out of the United States years ago, but that effort should be taken seriously and even accelerated in light of renewed US hostility to the UN Charter, international law, and the UN itself.

The only thing fair for news orgs to do is call for the rightful leader of Venezuela to be returned and for Trump to be removed from office by Congress.
Anything else is fascist propaganda.

A lot of people are going to preface tu-tutting tweets with variants on the theme of "Maduro was no angel" and it's very important to have the moral clarity to understand that these people are the lowest form of coward imaginable

The lawlessness of the US government provides even further justification for collective efforts to boycott the United States, to make it feel some degree of consequences for its illegal and destabilizing behaviour globally. That means avoiding travel, boycotting its companies, and similar actions.

People are going to try and lure you into debates about whether Maduro was a good guy or not and the thing is, it doesn’t matter for the purposes of discussing whether violent kidnappings and extrajudicial murders by the US government are ok. No, they aren’t! End of convo.
