mark carney taking the time to shit on canada post during his big pre-budget speech was disgusting.

he acts like it’s the responsible choice to gut an essential institution at the very moment he can’t stop talking about nation-building projects. that’s what canada post is and could continue to be!

someone needs to ask mark carney why, if canada is the “most european of non-european nations,” all of our peers can offer pharmacare as part of their universal healthcare systems but canada still can’t after all these years?

Maybe this is obvious to everyone but…why does the White House need a ballroom? It has enough space for state dinners, no? Is this for dances? Weddings? Storing classified documents?

Just confused so the reason would be helpful thx

Our case’s goal “is to ensure that the DOGE agents are kicked out of the OPM systems & that they have deleted any information they may have copied,” along with plugging any holes from this unauthorized sharing, EFF’s @mariotrujillo.bsky.social told @techpolicypress.bsky.social.

Protesters have blocked the westbound side of Canal. They are chanting "ICE out of New York now!" and "Liberation, not deportation!"
"Germania" vibes here
It may just make 1929 look like a lark. Especially if they gut FDIC like the P2025 people want.

Yeah, it’s starting to feel less like an economy and more like a collapsing Jenga tower made of student loans, crypto, and denial. Every time someone says “the market will correct itself,” I picture a creepier than usual clown seductively whispering, “trust the system.”

Countries racing to show they too can be leaders on AI are committing their societies to further social disruption on the altar of attracting short-term investment.

It’s a recipe for disaster, and leaders need to wake up before it’s too late. AI needs to be reined in, not allowed to proliferate.

These costs are sucking chest wounds to the average American, and will be impossible to weather. This, alongside the AI bubble, the housing market bubble, the loss of jobs, encroaching inflation, and every other batshit thing Trump does, will lend itself to a cataclysmic cascading failure.

Everyone who carefully constructed obfuscations in politics over the last hundred years must feel like a real dummy. Actually you can call it The Department of Murder. You can post a video of yourself dumping diarrhea on the public. You can go on TV and say "I am stealing from you lol"

all these people who think they’re so smart getting totally hoodwinked by some skilled grifters already tearing the social fabric to shreds.

Fascism is ascendant in the United States, and hatred against it is popular. Including hatred against its symbols. It's not a purity test. It's quite literally a moral bedrock from which all decency should derive from!
