Typical straight white USian dude (sports, craft beers, outdoorsy stuff, history podcasts, etc.) who refuses to pretend I don't have it good. Philly fan. Militantly pro-democracy shitlib. Free trader. YIMBY AF. Trying to help save my country from itself.
Bold of Elon to advocate his own denaturalization so forcefully.

1. There are two boroughs named Queens, one of which is in Brooklyn, which is actually in Queens.

2. The Bronx is in Staten Island.

3. Park Slope is in Manhattan 2, most of which it occupies.

4. Manhattan 1 is in the Bronx.

Fun facts about NYC, which is actually located in Syracuse.

1. They're both factually based and have been mostly accurately reported by journalists far smarter and more skilled than he is.

2. They both agitate him because they touch on sins of which he himself is guilty.

For once in his life, Matt Taibbi is right about something!
Ok Matt Taibbi has posted.

A lot of my fellow men claim they oppose sexual violence against women but argue the #MeToo movement went too far.

That's wrong. It's very obvious it didn't go far enough.

This is how you tie the arguments focusing on pocketbook issues and the arguments focusing on Trump's corruption, criminality, and moral turpitude together.

Buttigieg is so good at this.

Megyn Kelly really did the "ackchyually it's called ephebophilia" thing.

In defense of a man who famously demeaned her in public on the basis of her gender.

It's hard for me to articulate the extent of the lack of respect I have for her. Just a pathetic invertebrate excuse for a human being.

ICE are thug trash.
CICERO, IL — Trump’s ICE goons pepper spray into a family’s car and hits a 1 year old baby girl.

It's a general rule of business that if you genuinely have a truly awesome product or service to offer with a business model to profit off of it you don't need to scold investors to get them to back you.

Looks like the Dems will pick up 12 seats in the VA House of Delegates, which will go from 51-49 to 63-37 D-R. That's an honestly shocking result.

Worst night for Virginia Republicans since 1860.

I can hear the pundits on Fox News on my MAGA neighbor's TV saying these election results aren't necessarily a repudiation of Trump.

Let me assure you as a Virginia voter that isn't true for me. I like Abigail Spanberger a lot, but my vote for her was very much also a middle finger to Trump.

D+26 for Loudoun is what would be needed for blowout margins statewide. Spanberger and Hashmi look like they'll win handily and I'm feeling increasingly optimistic about Jones as well.
Loudoun County, in northern Virginia, was the sign of apocalypse twelve months ago for Democrats.

Most of the vote just came in. (AP estimates 79%.)

Spanberger up 26%. (And Jay Jones up 15%.)

Four years ago, McAuliffe won it by just 11% on his way to a 2% loss.

All-time heartbreaking sports loss for the Blue Jays.

The Dodgers are a great team on the field but are terrible for the sport. All the delayed salary shenanigans and such make them very hard to be happy for. The next collective bargaining negotiations have to outlaw their approach.

This man is not tough. He is a pathetic, sniveling little worm, and he responds to even the slightest amount of pushback with exactly as much fortitude as you'd expect from one.
“They think that they’re tough. They have no idea how tough we are. They think that they’re hardcore. We are so much more hardcore than they are.”

Republicans nuking the filibuster will probably work out poorly for them in the long run since its main function is shielding them from the consequences of implementing their own unpopular ideas.
