I feel like calling generative AI the 'plagiarism machine' is an op, to make a wedge issue out of anyone's artistic love of collage and sampling and pastiche, lose us Biz Markie defenders from the unfandom. Like, using existing work in a blender isn't at all why the software process is disagreeable.

Watching some real Cinema Snob core with the '80s exploitation movie Street Trash. For how corny and tasteless it is, it's got a good bit of money onscreen with its large cast and wide shots, and multiple well-lit settings. Missed a chance to see it at one of our locals recently, catching it up now.

I'd get Robert Altman to make a Popeye movie. And I'd get the biggest sets, and the wildest bunch of people on it, onscreen and offscreen. It'd be a real spectacle, once you'd sat through the whole thing...
