The reason I do Sanskrit Calligraphy is because I believe the act of concentration on the sacred word and writing it down is an act of devotion. Repeating a mantra is called japa, and it is a form of meditation.

Good God, I had the same experience a couple of weeks ago.

Talked about the resistance to ICE in a neighborhood there and made the mistake of calling one guy a "suburban" dad and suddenly that was all that mattered to the pedants. It would be comical if the navel-gazing weren't missing the point.

That's the salient issue here. I see ao many people complaining about someone referring to a nice neighborhood in Chicago as a suburb when the post is about these crazy masked government agents brutalizing the community.
