I thought he was imposing Stephen Rea law, where we retroactively award him the Oscar for best actor in “The Crying Game” instead of Al Pacino for doing blind-face in “Scent of a Woman.”
Mamdani is going to impose shangri-la law. Everyone will be blindfolded and forced to play Marco Polo
Mamdani gonna implement Shaaloani law. All disputes settled via shootout duels using non-lethal rounds with all the authenticity of a spaghetti western directed by Japanese anime enthusiasts.

(This is a timely Final Fantasy XIV reference)

I’m too lazy and too late to do the Zohran Mamdani text generator of “Why do they call it oven when you of in the cold food...” Next time.

Wow, did you know Reed Richards invented Internet forums and microblogging back in the 1960s?

The right way to remember James Watson is that scientists, especially the men, are not a special class of informed rational people that to whom lay people should defer. History shows their fealty to a “scientific method” and objective truth is eclipsed by their self-interest and personal biases.
Today we honor the life and work of James Watson, co-discoverer of the double-helix structure of DNA, has passed away. His work was a turning point in science, laying the foundation for modern genetics and transforming how we understand life at its most fundamental level.

I think it's ok to have an immediate visceral reaction against war in the same way that I have a knee jerk reaction against animal abuse, human trafficking, ICE, sexual predators etc. It's a pretty good heuristic and has served me well so far.

It shouldn’t be forgotten that a big piece of Mamdani’s campaign was simply “cities are cool and lots of people enjoy living in them” which in and of itself dismantles alot of rightwing talking points

Zohran has ended his victory speech by summoning and entrapping the spirit of Andrew Cuomo in a Greater Soul Gem. The translucent former governor's mouth hangs open in a pained howl as he writhes within the jewel, but makes no sound.

Gentlemen: thank you for your service.
I support everyone giving vast sums of money to Andrew Cuomo. It’s the “lighting a million quid on fire” art piece but this time performed by the worst people in the world.

Just making sure i follow, the plan is:

- mamdani elected
- rich idiots flee the city
-- they weren't paying taxes anyway so that isn't missed
- confiscate property owned by the absentees
- turn it into affordable housing

Dick Cheney, like a lot of conservatives, rode high on stolen valor from service members. He was one of the few Republicans, however, to also steal their organs.

I am conspiracy pilled enough to suspect Dick Cheney got his heart from one of the kids he sent to their deaths in Iraq, and their parents got some hush money and a special letter about how proud they should be that their dead son “continues to serve his nation,” or some shit.

You have to admit, the heart he harvested from a wounded soldier really held up well.
