SCOOP—In August, nearly 200 current/former FEMA staffers published the Katrina Declaration, a whistleblower letter detailing all the dangers posed by current leadership.

All current employees were put on indefinite leave, and now I've learned one has been fired in violation of federal protections:
FEMA employee terminated for signing whistleblower letter
It appears to be a major violation of federal whistleblower protections and constitutional rights.

DOGE was not a money-saving effort. It was an effort to chase down and prove right-wing conspiracy theories. They went after USAID to prove conspiracy theories about foreign aid. Then they went after SSA to, again, pursue conspiracy theories about Dems paying "illegals" to vote. 1/2
All DOGE accomplished was purging critical government staff, handing private data to outsiders, and sentencing thousands in developing countries to death by gutting USAID.

I don’t say this lightly: if there were any justice in this world, the people responsible for this devastation would be in jail
DOGE 'doesn't exist' with eight months left on its charter
U.S. President Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency has disbanded with eight months left to its mandate.

The 2025 US State Department setting criteria for assessing human rights violations in other countries is laughable
"Countries with state subsidies for abortion, transgender-friendly policies for children, hate speech laws and affirmative action policies will now be considered to be violating human rights under rules imposed at the [US] State Department..."

It's wild that even Mohammed bin Salman is like "can you just allow me to answer", b/c Trump is unprofessional, unhinged, wildly inappropriate - and like 10 words away from claiming credit for it.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

Will he welcome them like he welcomed the Korean workers at the Hyundai plant in Georgia in Sept?
Trump: "You can't come in, open a massive computer chip factory for billions of dollars like is being done in Arizona, and think you're gonna hire people off an unemployment line to run it. They're gonna have to bring thousands of people with them and I'm gonna welcome those people. This is MAGA."

"He will continue teaching" tells you just how much Harvard cares for its students.

What's the point of being the most elite university in the U.S. if you cannot quickly jettison bad actors and replace them with superstars?
Larry Summers tells @theharvardcrimson.bsky.social
he’s stepping back from all public commitments in light of his messages with Epstein, saying he is “deeply ashamed” and hopes “to rebuild trust and repair relationships.”

He will continue teaching.

1. No one stood up to him
2. No one stood up for her
3. If they had pushed back, he would have gotten aggressively out of control & produced an even better story for them

These self-serving sycophants are bad humans and bad at the job
When asked if there was anything "incriminating" in Epstein's emails, Trump pointed a finger in a female reporter's face and snapped. 'Quiet. Quiet, Piggy.'

Would love to see MTG do a round of talks about how when she was spouting off right wing nonsense, lefties criticized her but left her alone. The second she pisses off the right wing - death threats. Who’s the party of violence?
Marjorie Taylor Greene says she’s being inundated with threats because of Trump’s rhetoric. Violent threats are wrong no matter what.

This is an opportunity for MTG and others on the right to reflect on all the violent threats Trump has incited through the years - including on Jan. 6.
