So sorry to hear about the new wine tariffs, but did you know that there is a California champagne by Paul Masson inspired by that same French excellence?

On January 26, 1966, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. moved with his wife Coretta and their four children to a third floor apartment at 1550 S. Hamlin in North Lawndale.

That building damaged in the rioting that followed King’s assassination on April 4, 1968 and later demolished.

You may not think this c. 1998 duplex in Pilsen is an architectural “stunner” but future generations will fight tooth and nail for its preservation.

City living isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay, but at some point we should tell the people who clearly would be happier living in the suburbs that they should consider doing that instead
A group of neighbors and business owners in Edgewater are accusing the city of violating property owners' right to due process, in addition to city and state zoning requirements.

One of the only bright spots for #WHUFC this year so of course he has a nightmare blunt rotation.
this, from West Ham's Freddie Potts, is the single worst "five famous people you'd invite to dinner" I've ever seen

You can be a NIMBY, or you can support substantive equal citizenship, but not both
When NIMBYs say that California is full and their cities can’t accommodate more housing, they are saying that queer people trying to get out of red states are on their own.
New research confirms what many of us see: there's a large internal migration of LGBTQ people in the US, especially trans people, to friendlier states & cities.
Since 11/2024, 9% of all trans people have moved to another state, 43% have considered moving.

I was 18 when I called out Nazi shitheads causing trouble at the first Dead Kennedys show in Toronto. They threw bottles, spit, threat and bile. We held our ground. So I don't lose sleep when boomer /Gen X/ Incels have tantrums and throw threats online. Nazi punks fuck off.
