This might have been true 20 years ago. Unfortunately it is no longer the case. As the people whose actual memories of war have died, we've replaced sombre remembrance with fascist purity tests and crass celebrations of violence.
One of the most precious things about Remembrance is that it sets no political tests.

without googling, a) which year do you think the BBC took its regular blackface performances off air, and b) which year did they stop touring the UK?

Saw a news report yesterday about children as young as 9 being given weight loss jabs on the NHS, and I think it shows just how utterly bullshit the “lack of research into long term impacts” excuse for banning puberty blockers for trans kids really was. It’s purely ideological.
