In light of the election results in Canada, the ideal next phase I would like to see:
* Electoral reform passes so we never have to do strategic voting.
* NDP rebrands as Labour and attracts blue collar Conservative voters.
* CPC sheds the Reform wing and embraces being PC again.

It seems like a good time to repeat how thankful I am that the entire Canadian federal election process has a campaign period that’s at least 36 days and no more than 50 days.

That’s it.

With strict spending limits.

And every single time, that ends up seeming long and expensive to me.

If America thinks tariffs will crush the resolve of Canadians – they’re wrong.

We will not roll over.

BC is stepping up to do our part by:
❌ Pulling US liquor off shelves
❌ Excluding US products from government purchases

This would be a great time for the Canadian government to step up and offer expedited immigration for scientists, doctors, nurses, and construction workers based in the US. Remove red tape that prevents US-licensed medical professionals from practising in Canada.

Did you know that a “kissing canopy” is when trees above a street or sidewalk grow to touch overhead, creating a cool, shaded place? Despite it being colder and darker these days, let’s remember the beauty and value that #StreetTrees add to our cities, IF we design for them. #KissingCanopies

Yes. It's distressing how many people seem to genuinely believe that Harris ran on identity politics (she didn't), while Trump didn't (he did, effectively to the exclusion of everything else).
For a subculture that professes to hate identity politics, these people routinely make certain identity characteristics not a minor but the *focal point* of their critiques.

Like, in this delightful little contrast, one of the two is gay. That's it. That's the criticism.
