We’re grateful to partner with Lincoln County and Newport Fishermen’s Wives in lawsuits to restore Newport's search-and-rescue helicopter.

This helicopter isn’t a luxury—it’s a critical part of how we keep people alive on the Oregon Coast.

This is the last of the "assaults" from September 27 that NDIL dismissed, a day where Greg Bovino was deliberately promising a "shitshow."

Basically they knocked over a 70-year old guy and then accused him of assault.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Gabriel Fuentes, in dismissing Midway Blitz-related charges against Dana Briggs last week, said he was lifting restrictions on relevant video.

Today he made the video available through the clerk's office at no cost to the public. Here's the first.

Utterly ludicrous framing from @nytimes.com here, treating Pete Hegseth's arguments as if they're legitimate. The casual reader will be left with no inkling whatsoever of how unusual and corrupt an abuse of the process this truly is:

I actually think this is the reason I feel better having deleted Facebook and only looking at instagram a couple times a year - it’s not the AI slop itself, it’s realizing the people you respected are functionally braindead that is depressing
I've deleted most of my FB info, just kept my account alive to use site for work. So depressing watching people I friended, for whatever reason over the years, share idiotic AI slop. A big neon sign screaming "DO NOT INTERACT WITH THIS PERSON."

Finally, the media worm is turning on Trump:

*NYT reports Rs quietly looking beyond Trump
*Axios says "red alert" time for Trump/GOP
*Politico reports MAGA culture-war now failing
*Trump clearly declining in many polls

On the pod we parse through all this evidence:

Trump Is a Weak, Failing President, and the Media Is Finally Saying So
As Trump’s downward spiral starts producing harsher media coverage, a writer who regularly dissects MAGA and political media explains why he’s entering a tailspin that will be very hard to reverse.

How does Posobiec emerge from the Trump-Mamdani meeting as a “winner” for asking an insulting and racist question?

Didn’t Mamdani emerge a winner by refusing to be flustered by the racist bait and shutting Posobiec down calmly and intelligently?

Seriously @nytimes.com what are you even about?
What a strange framing and characterization. How does one describe his blatantly dishonest, racist question about taxes as “press[ing] the Mayor-elect on his policy proposals”? In what way does this lying troll emerge as a “winner“?

Loved the chapter on kids development and city planning. When I was 11, my parents let me use the London subway and train to get to school (after riding with me a couple of times). I think it really boosted my confidence as an adult. Kudos to bike bus organizers worldwide!

Except, of course, it’s *not* all he can say.

Cassidy could concede publicly that confirming Kennedy was a tragic mistake. He could call for RFK Jr's resignation. He could schedule hearings, haul the secretary to Capitol Hill, and demand the CDC’s public resources reflect the scientific cannon.
TAPPER: You were the deciding vote that allowed RFK Jr to ascend to the role of Health Secretary. Did you give him too much credit?

CASSIDY: The fact is the scientific community agrees that vaccines are safe. That's all I can say.

Watch my statement below. Mr. President, release the transcript.
