Same vibe as people praising Balatro as a solo dev feat. There are a total of 111 people credited in the game that supported @localthunk.com ranging from the Playstack publishing team to localization and QA. Everyone made this game launch, and discrediting anyone is another form of gatekeeping.

i don't know this game at all but this claim is very suspect. a game made by five people? maybe five *credited* people, plus how many contractors? how many vendors worked on the sound or art or localization? they deserve credit too, and don't always get it.
Bluesky post: "made by a team of 5 developers in China over the past two years" which is a quote post from @wario64.bsky.social saying "Escape from Duckov has sold 500,000 copies (released on Oct 16th)" with a link to the steam page for Escape from Duckov.

Look, it’s really straightforward to get a publisher as a new name indie in 2025. Simply do 95% of the work making and marketing your game, and if your metrics are trending towards almost certain success, a publisher will swoop in to promise the remaining 5%, deliver 3%, and collect 75%

I want hades 3: a cozy farm/town simulation a la stardew valley. You're rebuilding Ephyra and the surrounding countryside after all the gods' bullshit and you have to keep the pantheon pleased while building your village.
