You're rebuilding Ephyra and the surrounding countryside after all the gods' bullshit and you have to keep the pantheon pleased while

Honestly, I posted and then someone told me the conversation started from Mike's post and I had no idea. Ha ha. I wasn't specifically talking about him just the general trend I see of the people who give the least complaining the most that they don't get enough.

Even tiny creators can make good content that people find. Or they can play in a way that helps our design process or let's us know an idea is resonating and we can lean into it. Or they can tell even one other person about it. There's so much value so don't sell yourself short.

I dunno. I think it's fine to support someone when you think they're good and change your perspective when you learn otherwise. I get where you're coming from, though.

To be fair, when I said it, I didn't know who started the conversation today so hopefully they don't think I'm calling them out specifically. It's just something I see a lot in all communities, people who only take and give nothing and constantly complain they don't get enough.

Yeah. I'm not a very loud person so I wish I did more to help, but I am so grateful for every person who has helped get the word out about Mythmatch. And I follow their other work and see what else their excellent taste has found. :)

HOT TAKE: Sometimes, I feel like the people saying this mean why isn't anyone with lots of power covering my game. When smaller folks ARE covering indie games and you're not uplifting them. You just want others to lift you up without giving back to the community.

1. The gaming press has been decimated by business suits, and the whims of an uncaring search engine behemoth
2. Doing the job means you get death threats and harassment
3. There are more games released in 1 week than there were in entire months in 2015
