Super proud to be part of SFB1348 — and excited to share that I now officially have my own lab in Münster! 🎉🪰

We’ll study #cellbio & #morphogenesis, focusing on organ sculpting and #chirality in #Drosophila.

I’ll soon hire my first #PhD student — feel free to reach out!

I tried an even harder example on Gemini Pro image generation and this is quite scary/amazing. I asked for a microscopy image of around 20 HeLa cells, GFP tagged 20% nuclear, 10% membrane, +1 nuclear staining, + overlap. Image below and prompt in the following post.

Even if "provisionally" accepted, those are the best words/news I've heard for quite a while...

Here some #blebs to "provisionally" cellebrate.
Let's see this #cell dance under the microscope.

Hey #Drosophila evolution people, quick phylogeny question! Is this simplified tree reasonable? I integrated multiple papers & added some polytomies, so that there is nothing too speculative in there. Does it look right to you? 🪰 It's just for a presentation 😉

If you’ve ever wondered why you can inject things into the yolk early and it affects the embryo, this phenomena is the reason it works! 👇 #zebrafish
