Europeans have had one of the largest conventional conflicts on the planet happening right at their doorstep and yet there hasn’t been any major expansion of their armed forces outside of the Eastern European states.
I cannot tell you how absolutely infuriatingly this stuff comes across to Europeans.

Global warming has made January worse. It was always the coldest moth in the Northern hemisphere, but it used to be it would start getting a little bit nippy in September. You had months to acclimate. Now it's like margarita weather on Christmas then January's like, "Surprise, bitch! Wintertime!"
