THREAD.

3 years ago, with no warning, a brilliant orange farm cat wandered over from the draughty barn where he had been living, in rural Cornwall, and decided he wanted to live with us instead.

We decided to call him Jim.

This is the first photo I took of him, on that night: December 1st, 2022.

I need everybody to read this and understand what’s going on. These are spouses of US citizens in the country legally. They have entry clearance and green cards, they’ve passed background checks and have no criminal records. ICE is taking them anyway.

For like the zillionth time: Libraries are FREE for you, but WE still get compensated for our work!!
Just saw someone claim that authors who want to be paid for their work are "class traitors" because we "only let the wealthy" read our books, and I think I need to go into the woods to scream into the night for a bit.

It's $5, not your first-born child! I need that $5 for health insurance!

Having nonalcoholic drinks for any type of guest is just basic good hosting.
Just a friendly reminder as we go into the holidays:

Folks don't have to explain to you why they don't drink.

If you offer them a drink and they decline, don't ask them why. It's not your business.

Just offer them something without alcohol to drink instead. And move on.

BINGO. This is why I’m not in the business of teaching “AI literacy”.

Dems need to keep repeating it, and they need to say what mean. “You can refuse illegal orders,

examples of illegal orders are: intentionally harming or targeting civilians, engaging in unauthorized domestic LE actions, falsifying records, or anything else that clearly violates the US constitution”

Gender-affirming care saves lives
1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.

Good story on the records of those taken during the Chicago raids. Contrary to the administration's claims, few had records or reasons to be arrested.

I know it's not surprising to many of us, but it's important that this type of in depth reporting is done so it's on the record.
