I'm searching Getty Images and found some photos credited to the Boston Herald that redact the faces of ICE/federal agents. They don't redact the face of the guy they're arresting.

I'm curious about the ethics of doing this. I don't think I've ever seen this on Getty before.

Well, there's a photo I never expected to see in my life. Noam Chomsky palling around with Steve Bannon.

begging people to stop becoming your parents in this particular way, specifically.
the 6-7 phenomenon is in no way different from any other catchphrase that kids have yelled out at any point in the last hundred years, there's no daylight between that and when i was in high school, the year straight where every guy kept yelling "i'm rick james bitch"

It’s not repeal of 230 it’s an anti trans censorship bill. These democrats hate the lgbtqia plus community and want them dead as bad as any republican.
Sen. WHITEHOUSE: We finally are moving to file a bipartisan Section 230 repeal bill. Waiting any longer serves no useful purpose.

The serial doxxer of trans people uses the term in the most meaningless and invalid way possible.
This wouldn't even be considered doxxing under Arizona's own anti-doxxing law.

When you read the full transcript, Newsom's bigotry is even more clear: "We didn’t get into trans sports. That’s an issue no one wants to hear about... But it comes from my heart, not just my head. It wasn’t a political evolution. I don’t think it’s fair."
Here's where that quote that the GOP is pushing came from: yesterday's Ezra Klein podcast. Newsom brought it up unprompted. Doesn't really say what he believes, but seemed to want to get on the record as slightly less antagonistic to trans people.

Newsom and the neoliberals are not genuine people, they are bigoted, cynical liars trying to triangulate a path to power no matter what.

We all need to be clear it’s Never Newsom and never neoliberal forever.

WOW; a DEEPLY corrupt move by the immigration courts; clear collaboration with Trump admin officials to produce a specific result with zero notice to the party and ALSO in a situation where the judge facially lacks jurisdiction; the judge had denied a motion to reopen and the case is on appeal.
Judge Xinis ordered Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s release in part bc ICE could not produce a final “order of removal” to deport him. So last night, they went out and got an immigration judge to issue one.

Now, Abrego is urging Xinis to block his redetention. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

- Family Reunification Parole Programs, in place since 2023 and some legacy cases from earlier, covering ~15,000 people.

He also has many of their pictures.

This is what the Nazis did.

They kept a list a “problem” journalists. They ousted them in favour of loyalists.

Many of those journalists were killed.

Never underestimate the American heartland's affinity for racism and its ability to overcome literally everything that makes sense.
For over a decade—!!!—Donald Trump has defied political gravity. Trump’s approval rating, according to the latest Gallup poll, has plummeted to 36 percent, with disapproval hitting 60 percent.
Maybe Donald Trump isn't immune to political gravity after all
MAGA and the GOP could only avoid it for so long.
