I do this (it’s also why I have a “next time” version of the course or a note file open for revising materials)
Not unrelated: when I assign a new kind of project, I write comments but only assign provisional grades until I get through the whole stack—because sometimes when I want to downgrade for "oh you should've done X," I realize "oh I should've done a better job explaining X." Tell me it's not just me.
Currently grading "ghost museum" final projects for my 200-level class, and believe me when I tell you that students these days can do truly great research if you make opportunities for them, are infinitely creative in presentations & also will never cease to surprise you with their artistic flair.

Ahh so he’s just openly admitting his absolutely abysmal and transphobic views on trans people in sports are just fully made without listening to any actual facts on the issues, just shit he’s made up based on fear mongering. Cool cool. But did you know he’s the best on trans? He said so!

AI has actively made life worse for literally everyone

- tech is now more expensive
- you cannot trust most media of reality anymore
- programs barely function
- energy prices
- literal psychosis
- your voice can be literally stolen for evil
- more spyware

but hey, you can avoid paying an artist.

this of course puts JKR and her fellow anti-trans crowd into the same category as the Creationists. They simultaneously want us to believe the evidence is on *their* side, and that *we're* the irrational ones. But if they had evidence, they wouldn't need to lie and make shit up.
I mean, that's no different from any other scientific position, really. Would we reevaluate evolution if we found evidence against it? Of course! Is that likely to ever happen? Nope. The evidence is *strongly* in favor of trans healthcare.

Why do we need a “technology bill of rights”? Because under capitalism will own nothing and nobody will care if you’re happy or not.

If Apple can remotely disable and delete your entire digital history, do you truly own anything?

there are other, better franchises - let this one go

Watching Oblivion (with Tom Cruise), old lady behind us was hacking up a lung, said "I'm dying" at multiple points, when the 2nd female lead showed up she went, "She's gonna kill him"
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Before some random blockbuster circa 2006, there was a trailer featuring an airplane. When the trailer started, my friend stood up in the packed theater and yelled “SNAKES ON A MOTHERFUCKING PLANE”

It turned out to be a trailer for UNITED 93.

One of the funniest things I’ve ever witnessed.

This is a legitimate scientific revolution in meteorology.

Also, to be clear, these models are not the AI LLMs that most people are familiar with. They are machine learning algorithms trained on observations (actually reanalysis).

#TTRPG are collaborative storytelling experience. The rules, players, and GM all have a part to play, and treating any of that as an other inherently lessens the experience. This means the players need to bring as much to the table as the GM, and neither treat each other as the enemy to be defeated
Admittedly I don't have a ton of TTRPG experience, but it seems… odd to me that you wouldn't consider the GM part of the group.
They're part of the collaboration, and they're not *your* enemy just because they happen to control your characters' enemies
