What's so amazing about Jim Henson as a puppeteer is that he could literally be explaining that Kermit is made out of felt and ping pong balls and yet Kermit still feels alive the whole time he's doing it

Breaking MS NOW:

The Department of Homeland Security *unsuccessfully* sought to expedite deportation proceedings against the family of 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos, according to a local school official.

At an asylum hearing Friday, the family was granted a continuance.

Kristen Stenvik, superintendent of the district where Liam goes to school, said the ruling provides both “additional time” and “continued uncertainty.”

7 year old Diana Crespo-Gonzalez was sick and in need of urgent medical care.

ICE grabbed her and her parents on their way to the hospital.

They threw her in Dilley, the same facility that held Liam Ramos.

Tonight she’s free.

Now we keep fighting until every child is free.
I am escorting the Crespo-Gonzalez family, including their seven year old daughter, back to Oregon now.

Out of respect for the family, additional information is not being shared at this time.

If you're having a bad night, I cannot recommend this thread of a judge absolutely destroying an attorney that cited cases from AI enough
Hey, so, I don’t do civil litigation, is it generally considered good when the judge does this?

After decades of dem leadership pissing and moaning and fundraising about how complex an issue it is and how difficult the process is etc

CHOTINER: So you learned this technique in school?

DR: No, not— listen it was good advice. Pagliacci was in town.

C: Right. Is it standard to give advice before learning a patient’s name?

DR: Now look

Judge Biery signed the order with a photo of Liam and two bible verses: The first is "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." The second is simply "Jesus wept."

Astonishing thing for a judge to do.

Reading up on the Norwegian Resistance this morning and apparently the Nazis got so annoyed by people refusing to sit next to them on public transport that they made it ILLEGAL to stand if there were seats available.
