I had no idea #Iceland was mosquito-free until now. Wonder if this is climate change related. Anyway, as a #Minnesota north woods resident, part of me feels sympathy for Icelanders and part of me can’t help laughing.

A boat has sunk in the harbour of Hafnarfjörður. Which maybe shouldn't be newsworthy, except the same boat sank at the same harbour five years ago. The boat doesn't leak and they don't really know why it keeps sinking there.

Saw this animal & wondered what it was! Clearly a chipmunk, but not the Eastern Chipmunk I’m used to. It’s smaller & has very closely spaced stripes on its head & back. Turns out it’s a Least Chipmunk. A species I didn’t know existed, let alone that it’s found in NE Minn.

Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband were killed. Sen. John Hoffman and his wife survived surgery and are still alive. The gunman is at large, on foot. Police searched his vehicle and found a political manifesto with a list of legislators and other officials that he was targeting.
