It's simple — @propublica.org workers should not be replaced by artificial intelligence. Our contract proposal specifically says that generative artificial intelligence ("GAI") should not be used to replace employees. Management struck out this entire section in their response to our proposal.

I am a threat to the Israelis insofar as my very existence threatens their ambitions to have me not exist. I suppose it's tautological in that way.
Yeah notably the thing that makes Ukraine a threat to Russia is the fact that Russia wants to kill all of them or seize their land and liquidate the state and Ukrainians will shoot them for trying. Much in the same way Algerians were a threat to the French I suppose or the MPLA to the Portuguese.

Just simply amazing that Democrats can now clearly see on video that an unjustified killing has taken place...while denying what was clearly being shown on video from Gaza.

would love a Star Trek that is unabashedly optimistic, humanistic, futurist, veering into being preachy, embarrassingly campy but with one (1) really superb actor. Bonus points if it casually shreds the "canon" to bits every few episodes
Oh good, Space Riverdale, that's what Star Trek has been missing. I was kind of hoping to get back to the cerebral exploration of moral conundrums without all the needless action, you know a return to Star Trek form? But not now that I know the dating lives of Starfleet cadets is on the table!!

For my part, I would say that questioning the framing of some Times stories—for example, the highlighting of Trump’s putative emotions or the foregrounding of what he says (even when, as is often the case, what he says is false)—is not an indication that I want my “views validated.”
