"Never spread the lie in the headline" should be a hard rule of 21st century journalism.
Research shows that repeating lies helps to spread them, and people read headlines more than they read stories.

I remember Dawning Realization Month for the NFT people too. Think this is going to take much longer because of how wrapped up the whole economy is in this, but it really feels like it's happening.
Anecdotally on twitter seeing a big shift the last few days from every AI slop account saying every other creative field is “over” and they’re in control now to now posting about how nobody likes them and it’s not fair and they’ll persevere and real artists respect and uplift eachother

At the Taco Bell drive through, they had a virtual AI assistant try to take my order. After it got it wrong several times, an actual human employee came to my assistance. Apparently you can just ask for assistance from an employee right off the bat. Just a tip.

There was a year around 2008 and 2009 where I believed that better things were possible for this country. But every year since then, I have had to continually downgrade my expectations for my fellow countryman. That’s a very lonely feeling.

Caring for someone with dementia is so hard because their emotional intelligence crashes. They say and do hurtful things, and it’s in a way they have no control over. This is the second time I’ve had to help care for a relative like this. I’m good at it, but it comes at a personal cost.

Americans are generally unbothered by the fact that Thomas Jefferson started raping his enslaved sister-in-law when she was 14, I don’t think there are very many moral people here.

Tens of millions of humans are sacrificing their agency to generative AI, I think that democracy might not necessarily be the best thing for humanity. Maybe we do crave authoritarianism?
