Also, let me pretend to be smarter than Tom Izzo. Against a 3-2 zone (rather than a 2-3), flashing the tall passer to the middle doesn’t work. Should have overloaded the wing to get Kohler looks from the corner.

Well it’s not an MSU nonconference schedule if you don’t have at least one loss where you competed hard but the weaknesses you need to fix before March are clearly exposed.

- good on the field coach
- all of the brand/hype that Tucker had but actually delivers on them with competent coaching
- great fundraiser/relationships with alumni and boosters
- has that “leader of men” trait that you want in a coach

as I said last night: this isn’t even a particularly very good Michigan team. They have a talented freshman QB, a top 50 player at RB, a good No. 2 and young players up front. very beatable, as we saw. msu wanted no part of it.
