I genuinely think, when you boil it all down, it amounts to them being 'normal' and miserable, and so people being 'abnormal' and happy sends them into an apoplectic denial-spiral, fighting back the realisation the parameters they live their life by are dogshit.
Conversations being had on LBC about hormones and its full of cis people saying that when their hormones are at levels that make them feel good, their life is significantly improved... and it really highlights societies complete lack of desire to see trans people feel good about themselves.
