This is an immensely significant document that continues to get virtually no attention in US media—but lots abroad. In Jul 2015, Epstein arranged a meeting between a known highest-level Russian intel operative, Sergey Belyakov and Peter Thiel,

Cato Study: Immigrants Reduced Deficits by $14.5 Trillion Since 1994
The best way to balance the budget is to reduce spending—particularly on wealthy retirees—but rather than hinder our efforts to control deficits, immigrants are helping.

This is a remarkable @nytimes.com split screen:

A huge 3,526 word + photos profile on Sen Britt who "can't stop thinking about the boy ICE detained"

But Rep Jaoquin Castro- who actually got Liam Ramos out of detention & back home- gets no interview, no pix, just 116 words inside a story. WOW.

One of the only things I appreciate about Trump is the way he exposes small-government conservatives and evangelical Christians as being completely full of shit.

Trump mocks the idea of praying during a meal at the National Prayer Breakfast:

“Mike Johnson is a very religious person... He’ll say to me sometimes at lunch, ‘Sir, may we pray?’ I say, ‘Excuse me?’ You know, we’re having lunch.”

I have been writing letters of recommendation for just shy of thirty years— 17 students this year alone— in ratios that more or less track the majority-women population of liberal arts students.

Obviously I have never commented on a student's looks... and no recipient has ever called me to ask.

It is really infuriating to see how misogyny really does unite men across the sociopolitical spectrum. And, in so far as the Epstein files go, they sort women into two categories: fuckable or irrelevant. When they near a hint of accountability they complain about not being able to make women prey.

wow -- with Trump standing behind him, a man (not sure who he is) offers this prayer: "We pray that he would be mindful of the poor and that he would be invested in the alleviation of suffering happening in the families preparing to bury their loved ones in Minneapolis."

This is the Yale professor's explanation for why he described the physical attractiveness of a student in an email to Epstein. He explicitly says he regrets nothing about their association.

Again, I'm so happy Yale hired David Brooks to restore trust.

as i keep saying, the things to do to secure elections are to volunteer to work the polls or to serve as an observer, & to pressure your *state representatives* to take steps to further secure voting locations and ballots. you should also learn about how election administration works in your area.

I got my first whistle last weekend and it was a very intense moment, putting it around my neck and thinking about how to use it responsibly to protect my neighborhood. That happened because of the organizing that has already been done in MN, Chicago, and LA.
