A year ago, I became an L&D nurse. I didn’t know how to stop a hemorrhage or resuscitate a newborn, but I learned. I keep count of my deliveries with a bead jar: 🩷 for girls, 🩵 for boys, and 🤍 for my angel babies. I have 120+ deliveries under my belt and it’s just super cool to have a job I love 🫙

My first protest was a union strike with my dad at age 10 (my future high school teacher got run over by a scab). I marched during different administrations, phone banked, attended meetings, etc…the online do-nothings complaining about protests not being perfect enough for THEIR liking are my enemy.

I sometimes get teased for carrying so many extra snacks in my work bag, but the giant snack bag came in handy tonight when my unit was wiped out of aaaaaall the goodies and I had Smart Popcorn to give my starving post-partum patient 🍿💕
