Even if we accept the absurd notion that it is its own thing, when does Cheesecake become cake in those Cheesecake Factory items that include layers of heretofore universally acknowledged cake?
Never made pie in a spring form pan tho.
I mean, on one hand it's very dense cake.
On the other, what cake has a crust?
Plus if you took it out of the oven too soon and it spilled all over, what would you say spilled? Batter or filling?
And you can't no-bake a cake.
