Yes, HID headlights are very bright but the bigger problem is the proliferation of gargantuan vehicles with 5’+ hood heights so that if you’re driving a normal sized car their headlights are at your eye level rather than seat level like they’re supposed to be.

Kinda needed this particular conversation
The Jays got as close to winning a World Series as physically possible. But, as I'm sure I don't need to tell you, they did not win.

So this week @nickashbourne.bsky.social and I talk about the playoff ride, an instant classic of a World Series, and heartbreaking defeat.

Have a listen! 👇

A tremendous World Series decided by the slimmest of margins. Not at all sure the better team won, but that’s baseball. The Blue Jays were fierce, and I’m a bit heartbroken for all the Jays fans in my feed and orbit — Toronto folks have been supportive and awesome to me going back over a decade.

I do wish the Jays had won though. I wanted to call my mom and wake her up to tell her the Jays won, the same way I woke up as a six year old to her scream when Joe Carter hit The home run.

Beating the Yankees was incredible (“Start speeding the news, bitches, we’re going!) , beating the Mariners in seven made me leave my body. This series was excruciating, but I’ve never loved the sport more.
