TTRPG designer, known for Heirs of the Leviathan, and a couple of Danish Larps. I like making games that fundamentally change how people interact, be it laughing, cheering, or crying. I also draw.

Assemble, lads and ladies, and any Heir which might be in the audience, and gaze upon mine newest creation: Masks of the Leviathan, a game of playacting in many a mood.

Alright, you might have seen the playtest version, but this is the real deal!

European goldfinch. Watercolour on silk mounted on paper.

I had to wash out and repaint the scapulars and marginal coverts three times. Hugely relieved it worked out in the end. 🥲

I'll post the full piece when it will be available at auction next week. 🙏

I'm trying to connect more with the ttrpg community in general at the moment. I make short video reviews of a different #ttrpg game every week on YouTube and I'm keen to find more games to review. What games are you looking forward to in 2026?

My son is at ski practice, so I’m in the warming hut with a terrible coffee, experimenting with a more traditional way of drawing/painting. Kinda fun to do something different.

Democratizing the arts looks like universal income, low-barrier grants for both emerging and working artists, well-funded municipal arts & recreation programs, vibrant third spaces, and a well-funded public school system with progressive curriculum.

Not a free pass for corporate-owned slop engines.
Every instance of "AI democratizes the arts, you're classist and ableist and a gatekeeper for trying to stop it" is a slap in the face to the literally centuries of poor, disabled people making art on the margins and a crass lie in service of a machine that strips down and regurgitates dreams

This is why I don't crowdfund my games. I just have way too much anxiety for it!
Like a normal failed project has some cost, time, and minor reputation damage, but that's far different than being painted as a scammer or someone deliberately "betraying" people.

You can't get society to change that response but you can make sure your project is close to done to reduce risk.

Can't believe we're actually getting Stonetop in our hands this year. I haven't read any playtest material yet, because I wanted to read the finished version blind, and now it's almost here! Just lovely

Heirs of the Leviathan wasn't tested much, so I never got around to playing a full campaign of it until like a year post release.

I can't believe the amount of game I managed to put in such a tight package!
This is game designing I most relate to. Just today I re-read a game I made a few years ago and thought, "Dang, I think I pulled that off."

It's being an artist working in your medium I think. You only see your stuff accurately from a later perspective.
You ever revisit something you made several months later and think "Fuck, I made a cool thing?"
That's how I feel about West Dennison Township Book Club.
I'm still so pleased with how this ridiculous little game turned out.

I feel it with Denmark too; yeah, US imperialist interest in Greenland is a great distraction from our, uhh, history of forced sterilization.

Social democracies are not innocent bystanders.
Yeah Canada is not doing great. Combined with our past collaboration to colonialism exploitation, add on top of it all the US and Billionaire influence campaigns and investments, we are not heading in a good direction at all.

TTRPGs are such beautiful, impossible things. Think of how hard it is to get any group to get on the same page on *anything*, and then marvel at how we play these games that allow you to build worlds together.

I think about that a lot.

A million pilot programs show the same thing: when people are given enough money to afford housing, homelessness ends.

Other supports matter, but housing comes first. Not policing. Not moralizing. Homes.

So it's Black History Month and that means I think it's a good time to get familiar with Mike Pondsmith, if you're not already.

When you see R. Talsorian Games, that's him. When you see Cyberpunk 2077, that's his world.

Mekton, Castle Falkenstein, also him.
