You just know that Rush Hour 4 is going to end with them accepting an invitation to the White House to be congratulated by President Trump so he can get his dumb cameo in.

Thanks Frank, I hope you enjoy it! Bride means a lot to me.
For many years, I've been advocating for Killer Piñata (2015). I just learned that there is a sequel, Bride of the Killer Piñata (2022). The original had a budget of a few thousand dollars. This one looks the same. I'm very excited!

Kicked off spooky season with my first costume for Halloween trivia last night - I’m calling him Mr. Gourd.

There is a tremendous animated adaptation of this. They kept Briggs’ style, making it a horrific companion piece to The Snowman. Just a slow, tear your heart out story.
Lord. I knew exactly how bleak this was going to be and yet somehow I was still not prepared.

Punchbowl Social’s Chicago location was showing a rip of the new Fantastic Four on opening weekend. I certainly hope they weren’t charging for any food or drinks while they were screening that movie for free.

I LOVED Fantastic Four. Highly recommended.

Can't the Corman Fantastic Four movie get a proper release? He didn't trash it for a tax write off, correct? He just didn't release it? It's a sweet, very fun film and such a shame that it can only been seen as a rip. I'd be very curious to hear why it can't get a Shout Factory, etc release.

Yeah, I'm listening to the Elm Street 4 playlist because it's summer and summer is about nostalgia and also Elm St 4 has a banger line up of late 80s rock jams. H/t to Mikey Gaitanis for putting this together!

❤️❤️❤️
I love that the cast from the original (unreleased) Fantastic Four film were invited to the premier of the new film.

I know we’re kind of joking here, but I honestly would love a beat up print version of a film alongside the clean version. Especially for cult titles. There’s something to seeing the imperfections, the pops, the scratches, that make a film seem alive.
Someone should do a really nice 4K restoration of the Corman Fantastic Four and then put a shitty VHS rip on the same disc

For me, the bucket list is:
-Dick Tracy
-Superman
-Puppet Master
-Bride of Frankenstein
-A Nightmare on Elm Street
There a whole bunch of properties I would love to write for or do my own take on. I can dream!

1. The Return Of The Living Dead
2. American Dad
3. The Simpsons
4. Project A-Ko
5. Outlaw Star
6. Spider-Man (specifically for the villains)
I feel like I got a few I wanna do before I either die or call it quits. Some bucket list items:

1. Superman
2. Sonic the Hedgehog
3. Spongebob
4. Popeye
5. Something anime

Superman sure worked for me. I want to spend more time with these characters. This is the best Jimmy Olsen has had it on film, ever. I hope Gary gets a bigger role in the next adventure. This is just a fun day at the movies.

It’s remarkable how good John Ottman is with legacy scores. Whereas Giacchino tends to shy away from the main themes in favor of minor ones, Ottman embraces the iconic marches while adding his own flair. If you’re making a franchise sequel with a known theme, he should be at the top of your list.

Just a quick reminder that Bride of the Killer Piñata is a 4th of July horror film, if you’re filling out the midnight section of your marathon.

I once saw Gary Busey in a Dallas hotel lobby. I approached and asked if we could get a photo. He simply replied, “it’s not necessary.” And you know what? 100% accurate.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

Shout out to Jimmy at @fangoria.com. My David Lynch issue was swallowed up by the infamous Chicago postal system and Jimmy had a replacement out the next day. Fango takes care of its subscribers - thanks, Jimmy!

My introduction to both MST3K and Joe Don Baker was the Rhino VHS of the Mitchell episode, and I fell in love with both. It was especially exciting when, just a few short years later, Baker popped up in Mars Attacks! I'm sorry to hear he passed, but so happy he included us in his journey. RIP.

Really enjoyed Tin Man by Justin Madson. The spiritual sibling to Edward Scissorhands. All engines firing on this one.
