I appreciate what they were trying to do but these things looked supremely doofy compared to the Horus and Anubis guards in the movie

In the shower this morning, I realized I have to change the entire setting of my current project. This will have time-consuming ramifications throughout, but it's best for the WIP.

If you saw the sandstorm scene in Lazarus: Fallen #6 and are not sure how I created the balloon effects, I wrote out a tutorial for @rogue151.bsky.social in the thread below. Don't click if you don't want to know how I pull a rabbit out of a hat -- it's not that exciting once you see the technique.
Random comics thing that makes me happy: I’m rereading last week’s Lazarus and I love what I’m guessing @airy.bsky.social did with the speech bubbles here. It conveys in such a fun what the characters trying to talk and it getting jumbled in a sandstorm.

"Tuvix" is like way more of a no-win scenario than the Kobayashi Maru sim.
Happy birthday to Tom Wright, who played Tuvix in the #StarTrekVoyager episode of the same name. No matter which side you're on in the morality debate, there's no question that the actor nailed the performance, delivering a perfect blend of Tuvok and Neelix.
