My mission is to write clearly and affirmatively.

It's common to use metaphor and imagery, which is fine, but it can lead to misunderstanding. Overuse is obfuscatory, excessive use is a red flag of intentional bullshitting.

But I get it, a lot of folk are reluctant to say what they really mean.

That there are many evil rich dicks backing and manipulating Trump is hardly a wacky theory..

So it shouldn't be wacky to point out that Trump is a perfect patsy.

He deserves ALL the blame, even for things that aren't really his idea at all.
I am disgusted and enraged by the cruelty that this orange monster has normalized, and I've never hated anyone as much as I hate him.

John Roberts has secured his place as the worst Chief Justice in US history. His decision to ignore the rampant corruption all around him, and to torture the American system and the Constitution to further some crack pot scheme are bases for impeachment once a Democrat is elected to replace him.

The phrase "war of attrition" is such a nonsensical phrase, like "a car trip of velocity"

Is there a type of war where availability of men and materials is irrelevant?

All wars have a attritional aspects, even hugely lopsided wars

The only long term solution I see would be some trusted body manufacturing sealed black box cameras that output photo files with steganographicly embedded RSA signatures to verify authenticity.

Twitter/X now shows where accounts are in the world
A LOT of influencers in Russia or third-world nations where Russia operates. All kinds of divisive/fringe crap.

Reuters has confirmed that King Donald the Mad's "28-point Ukraine peace plan" was written by Russia, handed to Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff during a Miami hotel meeting with sanctioned Kremlin operative Kirill Dmitriev, then pushed as US policy.

From Colorado to Virginia and from New Jersey to Mississippi, the people made their voices heard in the elections.

Republicans are trying to rig the maps because they know that by rubber-stamping Trump’s agenda instead of working to lower costs, they’re hurting the people who put them in office.

Significantly-sub-optimal improvement is much better than enthusiastically-active destruction.
Not exactly: as I write in Saving Ourselves, the incrementalism of the Democratic Party and their all-of-the above energy policy is highly problematic. But that is categorically different from climate denial in action in the US under Trump. cup.columbia.edu/book/saving-...

It appears impossible to justify bombing the Venezuelan boats

Not only is the legal basis tenuous (we all know how well the “I was just following orders” defense goes)

The evidence that people in the boats are engaged in crimes is shaky as well

Exactly how was the shutdown helping?

Something the "Dems Folded!" crowd doesn't explain..
Interesting how ICE flights weren't impacted by the shutdown. Just commercial flights. Yet we had to end the shutdown for the airlines?

Sure, Jan.

In Virginia Giuffre's book, there is a very suspicious line that I cant stop thinking about. She is in the middle of telling part of her story and then something like "only Trump distanced himself from Epstein, no one else and didn't allow him back to Mara lago." And then back to her story.

Early in his first term it seemed pretty clear, to me anyway, that Trump had laundered money for Russian oligarchs via cash transactions on his real estate.

One of his sons kinda gave it away.

And for that service Trump received..
The Kremlin disguised a nearly $100 mn payment to Trump in the form of a brokered real estate deal... and both Jeffrey Epstein and William Pulte were involved in the deal. That's very interesting.
