I think some fans wrap their real life marginalized identity up in media interpretations and then get hurt when other fans have different interpretations. Stuff like whether a character is a lesbian or bisexual. Or whether a relationship is queerplatonic or romantic.

Saw someone propose kickstarter style funding as an alternative to copyright, and while I appreciate that they understood that art needs to be funded, I think they massively underestimated how much upfront costs artistic projects can have.

Every time I repost this because I don't have enough money to exist (this time it's that my light bill is due tomorrow (very important) and i couldn't afford to pay Nov's CC bill (less important but they are calling me daily about it)) i get a bit bitter because i'm only slightly more secure now...🙃
The exciting update is that *I just got a job*. (I'm still open to freelance work tho!!)
The bad news: I won't get paid until the 30th and don't have money for my current big bills OR transportation (since I have to Uber/Lyft there)

Some don’t understand that demonising refugees& asylum seekers is a red line for any healthy nation. As a group of people, like any other, they include the brilliant, good & bad, but labelling them as lesser humans undeserving of compassion, safety & equality is definitely bad for the whole country.

I guess a part of me is trying to be braver about posting my art experiments despite being an utter amateur because well. Maybe it can encourage other writers like me to learn to be okay and have fun experimenting too. Its so much more worthwhile than AI slop
