How come reply guys, when called out, always resort to "couldn't resist a joke" or "just a joke"? There's no humor, nothing funny, just being a pest.

I just, personally, think that if you're reading hundreds of rofan series, you should be able to clock the seeds of the common tropes (that you dislike) and avoid them.
Like I'm great at catching "old person or child dies horribly after you get attached" rofans and exiting within two chapters

An update on my 2ha journey is that while Shi Mei is absolutely deeply unwell, I don't blame him for any of it like if he'd been the protagonist of his own series, I would've rooted for him at all points.
Alas, he is in 2ha so the most I can do is wish him well while yelling.
