Those who sneer at Polanski’s acting, populism or economic illiteracy miss the point.

He is a hero for having the guts - as an English politician leading an English party in these darkest of times - to stand up and say ‘no, the way you are all talking about our fellow humans is disgusting’.
This is a superb speech from @zackpolanski.bsky.social

It’s why the #BBC make Question Time, in order to hear different voices, and Zack’s is undoubtedly the strongest in the room here.

“You’re a Government of cowards.” Spot on. Labour *never* speaks positively about immigration #bbcqt

"Those creditors have asked the regulator, Ofwat, and the government for Thames to be let off future fines for pollution," if the government allows this it's a betrayal of Thames customers and a betrayal of Thames competitors who will have no incentive to invest in anti-pollution measures.

Lots of people sharing this clip because it's funny and cathartic but I also genuinely believe it's important.

We have to win the narrative battle between "I live in a corrupt society and that's just how it is" and "I live in a corrupt society and we are going to defeat and humiliate these ghouls."
Good morning to Brazilian reporter Manuela Borges, who’s been waiting eleven years for this petty moment. ❤️ 🇧🇷

#Trump allowed 17 members of the Sinaloa cartel into the US.

In May he commuted the 6x life sentences of the leader of the Gangster Disciples, most notorious drug trafficking & murderous street gang in the US.

Now Honduran drug trafficker Hernandez.

Is #Trump setting up his own drug corridor?

There may be a vacancy in the newsroom of BBC Scotland for reporting this success story. 😂

It's actually worth pointing out that it is NOT the @snp.org that get this money, It's the Scottish government who gets it & it is revenue generated for the people of Scotland.

Ahead of launching a war on Venezuela, the US would like to announce that no one in Venezuela should help US forces, it'd be stupid to do so, the US will denigrate you and screw you over no matter how much you help, and blame you if even one Venezuelan who also helped the US ever does something bad.

The 50 wealthiest families own more wealth than the bottom 50% of the population.

How can this Labour Government say this is a "cost of living" budget and refuse to tax the rich?

They care about protecting power and wealth. And cost of living is a buzz phrase for them. Dire.

The UK has more than enough money to fund our public services and rebuild our infrastructure. But it's hoarded by a tiny minority.

The 50 richest families now hold more wealth than 50% of the population combined.

A tax on the wealth of the top 1% would raise over £70 billion.

In Nazi Germany, this office was called 'Race and Resettlement'
A mother and her 15 year old autistic son are reunited after nearly 50 days apart.

Emmanuel Garcia went missing, and rather than check missing person’s reports, Houston PD called ICE.

ICE sent him to the Office of Refugee Resettlement and his mom has been fighting to get him back ever since.
