God knows I've vehemently disagreed with many politicians in my voting life, but I have honestly never known a generation of politicians so lacking in basic political talent or ethics as this one. Right across the board.

I mean no exaggeration when I say that Shrek is so far the biggest cultural milestone of the 20th century in terms of animated films. And I can absolutely see KPop Demon Hunters ultimately reaching that level of cultural significance, if not more.

I just don't need to know what the Telegraph has written about Dungeons & Dragons. It's a newspaper for people who are frightened of samosas.

So, working people will pay £8bn more income tax while also taxed more on salary sacrifice pensions (£4.7bn), while the mansion tax brings in just £400m, and Chancellor Rachel Reeves lied about U.K. finances to justify it. Accurate summary of the budget? #Budget2025

Uber have constantly charged me more for my pre booked journeys lately and now refuse to refund the difference, telling me that if I submit another request, they’ll consider disabling my account.

What’s a good alternative to Uber please? Especially in the Manchester area

I'm completely in awe at how Pertwee plays the third Doctor as an arrogant, annoying sod who is constantly rude to everybody, mansplains and pisses folk off, yet is still completely loveable and brilliant. I don't understand it.

Imagine how many more children could’ve been lifted out of poverty had Labour lifted the two-child benefit cap when they came into power. Maybe they weren’t doing so badly in the polls back then… #Budget2025

A country has lots of wealth but also lots of poverty, and we're still confused as to how or why?

Wealth inequality is a disgusting stain on any country. It's criminal in a country as wealthy as the UK. No wonder the place is so angry and miserable.

Britain is one of the world’s richest countries. So why do a third of its children live in poverty? | CNN
Child poverty has reached a record high in the United Kingdom as the country’s cost of living soars and its social security safety net falters following years of government austerity.

How fantastic that we live in a country where we not only have a public service broadcaster, but we have one that is held to account by democratically elected representatives. This is a sign of a very healthy democracy and a healthy, publicly owned, accountable media giant #BBC

Saw someone complaining that tomorrow’s Laura Kuenssberg show doesn’t have a guest from Reform on it.

I work in TV, and this sort of thing makes me curious about how people think it works.

Do people think she and other TV journalists have the power to demand politicians appear?

People can’t watch the news, access websites nor listen to the radio all day.

Yet every day, people accuse broadcast media of ignoring stories when they haven’t.

It’s creating a culture where we’ll lose that media and people will discover what fully commercial news is like.

Shabana Mahmood gave no reassurance to Hong Kongers who have moved here, swerving the question about their future in the U.K.

These are people who were promised a new life by this country and a Labour politician can’t even say whether that will be upheld.

Asked about Tommy Robinson supporting her asylum plans Shabana Mahmood replies that "Tommy Robinson doesn't even think I'm actually English, so he will certainly not be supporting anything I've got to say."

But he is supporting what she's got to say. That was the point of the question

I’d argue that in most creative industries, the difference between an amateur and a professional is a deadline.

Without that, people procrastinate and never get things done.

There’s no “I’m not in the mood” or “I’m not inspired” in business, you have to force yourself to do it.

Companies need to stop justifying price rises to “continue to provide you with the best service”, “develop new features” and “invest in our product.” It’s so transparent, it’s actually kinda patronising to the consumer

Sometimes we all need to take a step back and question whether what we believe is actually true. Social media encourages us to search frantically for tiny moments that apparently validate the huge narratives we’re convinced are real. It’s easy to lose perspective.

wearecreativeuk“The arts aren’t a luxury – they’re an export.”At the Cultural and Creative Industries Pavilion at #Lab25, filmmaker and satirist Armando Iannucci reminded us that the UK’s Creative Industries are not a side note - they are central to our economy and global identity.“The Creative Industries make up 6% of our economy and 7% of our workforce - that’s the GDP equivalent of the oil and car industries combined. If it were an AI system or a weapon system, ministers would be out all around the world trying to sell it.”Our creative skills, talent and studios are world-class, and it’s time they were recognised as such.🎥 Watch the Cultural and Creative Industries Pavilion Programme from #LAB25 through the link in our bio #CreativeUK #ArmandoIannucci #CreativeEconomy #CulturalIndustries
