London: 7°C - Pitlochry: -2°C
Yet the person freezing in Pitlochry pays more for electricity — electricity generated in their own town.
Meanwhile, London, which produces almost none, pays less.
This isn’t just unfair. It’s exploitation. And it’s happening in Scotland every single day.

But Scotland will always have our colonial landlords who sit in Westminster & pontificate that we must pay more into their coffers which is the UK treasury as a privilege for being their tenants.

Only when we decide to rip up this tenancy agreement that is the 'Voluntary union' will we be free.

France has announced that it will cut diplomatic relations with Israel, citing the deaths of innocent Palestinians in Gaza as the reason for the decision. This drastic move marks a major shift in Middle East diplomacy and could influence how other countries respond amid escalating regional tensions.

After the long awaited budget delivered by the OBR, Sorry Rachel from accounts. We could be forgiven for thinking that we were wishing our lives away.
Let's be honest it was always going to be less than what we got last year & next year it will be even less.

If only we could borrow for ourselves.

Caught lobbying for cash or bullying in Parliament? You can still return to the House of Lords - for life.
No real consequences. No accountability.
Sign now to kick rule-breakers out for good.

Ban rule-breaking peers from the House of Lords.
Lords found guilty of serious misconduct – like bullying or lobbying for cash – still get to make our laws. I just signed a petition to kick rule-breaking peers out of the Lords for good. Want to add...

As a proud Scots/Irish republican who detests the Westminter establishment can I ask?

"Do we wait till they cripple Scotland more or do we take back our country & put it into the hands of people of Scotland who have the best interests at heart rather than what is best for London"?

Thatcher's government was a watershed moment in politics. For the first time, it was morally acceptable to be selfish and greedy!...

And it paved the way for successive governments to follow which Labour is pursuing now.

One bonus is that, She is still dead.

We are being ripped off in all directions & not just by the elite. The corporations who's goal in life is to sustain us in retail therapy are raking in billions in profits on the back of rising food prices.

This is so true.
All week we have political pundits on the TV & radio phone-ins discussing the budget & telling us of their dismay that Rachel from accounts is too scared to tax the billionaires.

Of course she is, They own the media, The same media she relies on to garner support for her policy's.

Well folks, The day is finally upon us. A defining day I may say for British politics. Does the country as a whole disseminate this budget & choose a different party to do the next one? After this budget do we see the country capitulate into an GE only to install a Farage government?

I fear so.

Last time I saw anyone wearing so many self imposed fake medals was Idi Amin, And look how that turned out?
But when it’s home grown frauds bedecked in unearned medals & wearing military dress uniform you’re not supposed to heap ridicule on them. Times are changing.

This pretty much sums up all British politicians & that does include Scottish ones to.
In my short spell back into politics from 2011 to 2021, I seen this a lot. I tried to say that it was not happening in Scotland, But now I know that it is a trait that covers all party's of every colour.

So funny on so many levels, @michaelshanksmp.co.uk First wrongly announces St Andrews day as tomorrow, Not on 30th Nov. Secondly he takes exception to being called 'Viceroy' without understanding as to why he is perceived as such.

FFS, the governments (Tory & now Labour) have whipped up anger against migrants to distract the public from what's important!
The govmt is squeezing the middle class from existence & removing help for those who need it most. All while the super wealthy are protected & adding wealth with tax credits.
Where there is grievance there is usually a racist & a bigot. They talk about migrants not integrating into our culture & society, No sooner than they do, The angry gammons turn up & protest at the fact that they are attending education classes to learn English.

Again we have a government willing to go after the wrong people. Tax avoidance seems preferable to Labour MPs as it may upset some of their wealthy donors. So the mantra seems to be ''let's go target the 'lower hanging fruit' of benefit claimants, They make for better headlines anyway''.
