this is correct, but it is in fact TIED for best gay book for spooky season with Feast While You Can by Mikaella Clements & Onjuli Datta, the sexiest book that has ever scared me out of my wits
the best gay book for spooky season is The Secret Casebook of Simon Feximal by KJ Charles, which opens with the sexiest ghost story imaginable, and improbably turns into a gorgeous multidecade love story (with lots of ghosts and monsters)
