I think that’s such a fundamental part of college, though! Sometimes there’s a feast and sometimes not, but that thrill of getting to take a class about something really exciting to you remains regardless—plus, I bet a lot of the most excited students got to partake this semester, too. It evens out!

The way that people would OBSESSIVELY try to de-lovebug their cars!! They’d be spattered all OVER the front bumpers and smeared across windshields bc self-preservation was nowhere near as important to these little guys as self-gratification!

Picture a slim, black bug half an inch long with an orangey red little bulb behind its head, but they ONLY COME OUT TO FUCK, and so you find them joined BUTT TO BUTT as they fly around and they are too involved in their lovemaking to get out of the way of cars so they are on everyone’s windshield.

Sometimes I remember the existence of lovebugs, insects that emerge, plague-like, and are only ever seen slowly flying around while conjoined in the throes of mating, and the way they were SUCH a feature of my life growing up, but are entirely absent from where I live now.

I have a prayer card for Pope Francis that I keep in my church music binder, and every now and then, he pokes his head out to say hello in the most charming fashion.

Last time I DM’d, I somehow broke Roll20 enough that I had a wee breakdown and we ended with an agreement that the session had never happened. Tomorrow, we meet again. Have I fixed our map yet? No. Am I prepared to DM better? Absolutey no. It’s going to be interesting.

My favorite parts of going to the Renaissance Faire is being there with my friends and seeing the amazing diversity of people in killer outfits of all kids, but the next best part is when I make it home and get to collapse on my couch.
