This is waaaay better economic analysis than the major outlets are doing.

At the heart of this is how can we be a democracy in the future if most people don’t even vote? Especially young people. Is voting a responsibility of citizenship?
A 2-year National Service requirement, military or civil service, for American high school graduates.
Changing the mindset about ‘citizenship’ - participation & the responsibilities this entails. There are so many social, cultural and security reasons this should be part of a greater discussion.
