something which doesn't get enough attention: as anyone who deals with elderly people knows, *any* upgrade - software or forced hardware - is like a nuclear bomb on their existence and is enraging
yah even 'better camera' which was the selling point for higher price/newer models has plateaued. at some point my decision will be 'replace battery or replace phone' but i won't actually need a hardware improvement

On the second watch of One Battle After Another, the payoff of the Trust Devices brought instant tears to this non-parent. Even without kids, I suppose an optimist is someone who is in love with the future itself, a state that requires both anxiety and devotion to another’s success no matter what.
