What's the lore behind your choice of a career path?
I wanted to be a music teacher at age 12. Didn't end up getting a job in a school, so I started teaching private lessons. Then lessons alone weren't paying the bills, so I thought tuning pianos might be fun. I'm glad I never worked in a school.

i started writing poetry in a composition notebook that said PRIVATE on the cover because of harriet the spy. i acted professionally my first few years out of college, but went back to my first love and now am a book editor 🫶🏽📚

I have wanted to be a paleontologist my whole life. I decided animation would be wiser? Went to school for two years to be an animator. Tons of debt later I realized I wasn't cut out for it. Then one day someone told me "shut up and do it" when I said I was afraid to make comics. Now it's what I do.
