I understand that warnings and requests have to come before action, but Offcom's communications [exclusively on X!] are absurd, submitted as they are while the deepfake porn continues to be churned out at pace, making it obvious that absolutely no steps have been taken.
I have a hunch that if you or I were running a website doing this the "urgent contact" would involve door rams and handcuffs so I struggle to see why it can't be slightly more pugnacious than this.
Ofcom, which enforces the UK's Online Safety Act, says it is aware of "serious concerns" about Grok undressing people including children on X

“We have made urgent contact with X and xAI to understand what steps they have taken to comply with their legal duties to protect users in the UK," it says

will I keep eating the pies from Mrs Lovett’s pie shop now that they’re potentially made with Sweeney Todd’s victims? Piemakers are under obligation to act appropriately and I always hope they would do.
Keir Starmer's spokesman asked if Government will still use X now it posts indecent images of children, replies "we always keep communication channels under review to reach public in most appropriate way possible”

"Operators are under obligation to act appropriately. We always hope they would do"

Flapdoodle: there is more than enough information in the public domain for the government to form at least a preliminary view.
It's up to the US "to lay out its legal basis for the actions that it has taken" is Venezuela, says Home Office minister Mike Tapp. For now the UK cannot take a view given what he calls "the fog of war". The UK will "not be pressured by social media" on this, he says.

Always has to be the bad playing of music instruments, or even disregarding technique, having physicality disjoint from what you hear.

On the contrary, big respect for finger movements that aren't merely well-synced, but ACTUALLY IN THE KEY YOU'RE HEARING!
#FilmSky, a quick question; what is the pettiest thing you have had to be annoyed at a film? I ask because I am watching The Gift from 2000, and the main character does divination with Zener Cards, which are not the same thing as Tarot at all. Why go for a more boring looking option?

This poster is one of the best on here and I’m so sad we’re losing her because of the appalling harassment she has been subjected to. Of course she must look after herself. And the rest of us need to do whatever we can to challenge and change this cruel, sick, dangerous, culture.
I‘m discontinuing my social media use for the foreseeable future and I want to explain why.

I woke up in the new year to discover that some guy on here had saved photos I took on New Year’s Eve and used Grok to remove my clothes. I know this because he showed me.

Some of the old cities remained and were yet to be cordoned off. My favourite was Southampton, where you could walk for hours, alone, save for salt badgers & maritime ghosts. I like how in this photo of it you can discern the remains of Borders Bookstore, the NCP car park and the original Colosseum.

If this is the case, and the UK PM has a potentially pivotal role to play, then I guess it's our duty to hold him accountable to that. Plus,
it seems very very important that Starmer has the courage to look beyond the concerns of Farage and Reform www.theguardian.com/world/2026/j...

When you’re doom posting about how everything is inevitable and no one can stop them, you’re doing their work for them. Stop that

Very strange how France are able to respond, but No 10 is still collecting facts and has no response.
French Foreign Ministry: “The removal of Maduro from power and the violation of sovereignty constitute a serious act of aggression against the dignity of the Venezuelan people and their right to determine their own future.

Britain left the EU because people told us we had greater security and financial relationships with the USA.

Happy now?

Constraints on power are a good thing. They are (I think) intrinsic and healthy to the development of the British state. They are to be loosened with great reluctance and only if accompanied by electoral reform.

Grok's new "feature" that allows users to undress women in photos posted to X is a new low for the platform. If you're somehow still active over there, I urge you to let this be your final straw.

One trillion of AI investment is riding on this being legal
So we just accept this then? This is a legitimate use of technology going forward? This vile individual's account is just prompt after prompt asking Al to alter real-life images of women. The law needs to catch up with technology now - because we can't trust these tech companies to police themselves

The role is the church is to minister to sinners.

No one is irredeemable.

It’s a hard message if you are serious.

Racism is a sin. Stirring up hatred against migrants is a sin. Fascism is a sin.

You cannot find your way to faith by decrying the core tenets of that faith.

We didn't survive and thrive as a species because we had warriors or hunters - pretty much every omnivore can manage that.

We did so because we developed Grandmothers, and domesticated Dogs.

Community is what defines us as a species, and every "self-reliant" libertarian shitweasel be damned.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.
