They are targeting children because they are trying incite violence. I have talked to many journalists today, and they all made the same observation: Border Patrol and ICE have been rolling around with maximum aggression, lingering for ages as crowds, gather, seemingly trying to cause a riot.

RESOLUTION Impeaching Donald John Trump, President of the United States, for high crimes and misdemeanors. Resolved, That Donald John Trump, President of the United States, is impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors, and that the following articles of impeachment be exhibited to the Senate: Article of impeachment exhibited by the House of Representatives of the United States of America in the name of itself and of the people of the United States of America, against Donald John Trump, President of the United States of America, in maintenance and support of its impeachment against him for high crimes and misdemeanors. ARTICLE I: THREATENING ALLIES WITH ILLEGAL SEIZURE OF TERRITORY   In his conduct of the office of President of the United States—and in violation of his constitutional oath to faithfully to execute the office of President of the United States and, to the best of his ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, and in violation of his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed—Donald John Trump has abused the powers of the Presidency in a manner offensive to, and subversive of, the Constitution, in that: Starting from the the first week of his second term, he began to threaten the autonomous territory of Greenland with annexation despite explicit and forceful condemnations from the Greenlandic and Danish governments. The United States is a treaty ally with Denmark, in a treaty ratified by the United States Senate, and the Congress has not been consulted or given ascent to military actions or threats against Denmark's autonomous territory. In a call, described by senior European officials as “fiery”, with the Danish Prime Minister in January of 2025, he insisted he was serious in his determination to take over Greenland. One official briefed on the call described it as the following: “He was very firm. It was a cold shower. Before, it was hard to take it seriously. But I do think it is serious, and potentially very dangerous.” When his close ally in the United States Congress, Andy Ogle, introduced a resolution supporting his bid to take over Greenland, career federal prosecutors were withdrawn from investigating Rep. Ogles. In a May 2025 interview on NBC’s Meet the Press, he refused to rule out using military force to take over Greenland, despite being given multiple opportunities to do so. In August of 2025, he refused to comment on if covert influence campaigns were underway, after credible reports from Danish media reported that three individuals with direct connections to him were engaged in such operations. He appointed Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry to be a special envoy to Greenland, the first time such a position has been created. Governor Landry in his acceptance post on social media stated the reason for his appointment was to make Greenland part of the United States. In January of 2026, In a social media post, he stated that he had ordered his “top generals” to draw up plans to invade Greenland “whether they like it or not”. He posted on social media that ‘anything less’ than U.S. control over Greenland is “unacceptable”. After allies deployed military force to deter the US from seizing Greenland, he imposed tariffs against those allies, suggesting an imminent plan to invade. He sent a letter to the Norwegian Prime Minister that reads as follows: “Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a “right of ownership” anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also. I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland. Thank you!” In all of this, Donald Trump has flagrantly and willfully disregarded Federal laws and the Constitution, threatened the integrity of the democratic system, and the world order which the United States has derived immense benefit since the end of the Second World War. He has imperiled the freedom of the people of Greenland in gross violation of international law. He has destroyed our reputation amongst our allies and made them fear attacks on their own sovereign territory. Wherefore, Donald Trump, by such conduct, has demonstrated that he is unfit to govern a Nation by and for the people, has acted in a manner grossly incompatible with the rule of law, and will remain a threat to the Constitution as well as global stability if allowed to remain in office.

2025 lasted a million years and also just a week and I feel like I accomplished nothing. What’s one reasonable goal I can set for 2026? First of all, years are not about accomplishments. We've all heard the song from Rent. You've gotta count the sunsets and coffee cups and and strifes(?). (Also in inches which seems like an inversion of how light years are a unit of distance.) You will have, presumably by year's end, weathered 365 consecutive days of ups and downs in 2025 alone. The feeling that you haven't accomplished anything probably means that you were busy fulfilling all the relentless and immersive obligations of being a person, which is an accomplishment on its own.
