If you're not (necessarily) having people over but you do have time off and you're a dog friendly person, I recommend giving a dog (or dogs) a shelter break this holiday season. It can be for as little as 2 nights!

I rarely saw straight-up cranberry pies so I made my own. I found that the secret to a great one was an even better contrast. This is topped with a thick crumble of oats, toasted pecans, cinnamon, brown sugar and butter and it's heavenly against the tart berries.
